PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF

by Caryl Westmore on July 5, 2009

“The ruthless persistence of following a dream,” is how Joe Vitale once spoke about his personal success journey from working on the railroads and being broke and homeless to becoming a bestselling author and multimillionaire.

I relate to him. As a journalist who many years ago committed my life to “uplifting and inspiring” rather than dishing up the sensational and sickening I have had to pursue my dream doggedly through many years of challenge with only the imagined outcome guiding me.

As Winston Churchill once said: “Never, never, never give up.”

You first need the soul seed of desire and inspiration – a clue to your Divine Life Purpose. And after that to keep hot and committed you need Persistence.

It’s about keeping your goal on track like a guided missile.

It’s about breakthroughs and break-free-ahas when you get nudged, supported by forces seen and unseen.

It’s as much about the times you feel like giving up and chucking it in as about the days you are truly “in the flow.”

For me it’s been mainly about cleaning and clearing out the noise and negative patterns keeping me from flying and eventually breaking free. Plus being guided and mentored by others – the authors and teachers I worked alongside to publicize their books and workshops.

Of course, as I learned from Julia Cameron in The Artist’s Way – a brilliant book and 12-week program about releasing your creativity which I have run for groups with astounding results – we often “shadow” those we most aspire to be.

BIRTHING A BOOK

As a journalist I’ve written thousands and thousands of articles and interviews. But nothing can compare with holding the first copies of my book. As I get ready to launch on Amazon in July – my heart is enthralled by my new book as lovingly as a new mother holding her newborn.

Author of “The Power of Persuasion”, Kevin Hogan in a teleseminar with internet marketing guru Rich Schefren, reinforced this feeling of your book being like a precious child. He said “you don’t trash your child because he or she is not performing… so value your book and don’t give up on it…ever!”

I like that.

So don’t ever give up on your book – or dream. Persistence pays off.

THE SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT PROSPERITY

by Caryl Westmore on July 4, 2009

1One of the most inspiring authors who changed my life and shifted my  mindset when I was a teenager was Catherine Ponder. I still have her books and often lovingly dip back into them. Here is a wonderful quote which reminds us about the true meaning of riches and prosperity!

“The shocking truth about prosperity is that it is shockingly right instead of shockingly wrong for you to be prosperous. Please note that the word ‘rich’ means having an abundance of good or living a fuller, more satisfying life. Indeed, you are prosperous to the degree that you are experiencing peace, health, happiness and plenty in your world. There are honorable methods that can carry you quickly toward that goal. It is easier to accomplish than you may now think. That, too, is the shocking truth about prosperity.”

CATHERINE PONDER, Dynamic Laws of Prosperity

In my own life I have discovered that feeling good and being in the flow are sure signs of feeling rich and prosperous. It is not about the amount of “money” you are accumulating and attracting…though that is a fundamental given.
But more important and central to the money flow is LIVING THE LIFE YOU LOVE.

Step #1: Cleaning, clearing and releasing glitches and negative programming in your energy system/unconscious… so that…

Step #2 You can Attract and live the Life you Love.

Then you will automatically “be connected” to the Divine – and to your Divine Life Purpose – which for me is the winning ticket this time around!

ARE YOU STUCK IN A STOP-GO DILEMMA?

by Caryl Westmore on July 1, 2009

I have found it to be true that an inner conflict between GO and STOP = STUCKNESS.

Both “sales champion” Tom Hopkins and the best-selling author of Wishcraft Barbara Sher, who I met in New York at a life-changing workshop years ago, say there is no such thing as “laziness” or “procrastination”. Instead it is about … BEING IN CONFLICT WITH YOURSELF.

“Why don’t you want to do what you know you should do? The reason you don’t is that you’re in conflict with yourself,” says Hopkins.

Over the years I have discovered many ways to clean and clear this “stuckness” – and one of the fastest and most effective methods is “tapping” – as in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) – which I explain more in my book and e-coaching course.

Recently I met Joe Vitale and hearing him talk about “awakening” at the Miracles Weekend in San Diego (2008) led me to experiment more with clearing my inner blocks with the Self I-Dentity Ho’oponopono technique of saying: ‘I ‘m sorry, Please forgive me, I love you, Thank you” – all explained in detail in the book Zero Limits by Joe Vitale and Ihaleakala Hew Len.

The main result is that you move out of the VICTIM mentality, take full responsibility for everything in your life and, best of all, begin to live from inspired action – rather than goal-driven intention setting, which can be great, but sometimes becomes frustrating as you attempt to “row upstream” in pursuit of your dreams.
