Look in the mirror and what do you see? Tatty, smart, sexy? How you see yourself INSIDE is how you will live your life – expectations, goals, joy. So much depends on what you feel and believe about yourself deep down – in your unconscious.
I love this Chinese proverb regarding self-worth:
“If you want one year of prosperity, grow seeds. If you want 10 years of prosperity, grow trees. if you want a lifetime of prosperity, grow your self-worth.”
The Break-Free Fast Formula which I write about and teach is a perfect “stuck buster” when you want to clear self-worth issues. First you have to identify that your unconscious beliefs about YOU are holding you back, keeping you stuck way below your level of ability and heart-felt desires.
Remember Psycho-cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz? As a plastic surgeon he discovered a “new face” did not necessarily raise self-esteem – rather there was a key mind-body connection that caused an inner attitude to rule, no matter what outer success was desired. Maltz taught the power of self-affirmation and mental visualisation techniques to power up the internal belief system.
His methods, pioneered in the 1960s-70s were key in the self-help work of Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar and Tony Robbins.
So what does this mean for YOU?
Success and happiness is an inside-job. Do what you must do to keep feeding and growing your self-worth and the results will follow.

Try applying “oxygen-thinking” to your action list of dreams and goals and see results take off! It’s something John Assaraf recommends in his book Having it All. Once you have taken time to plan and laser focus in on your goals he says, act as if your oxygen supply was running out and you have no time to waste.
Assaraf refers to the Apollo 13 Astronauts running out of oxygen and realizing they had no time to waste. They only thought about getting back to earth, nothing else mattered, no time for discussion, whining, getting scared.” That’s exactly the way to act in business, says Assaraf: “oxygen-thinking, only.”
This reminds me of Stephen Covey’s “First Things First” directive in Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. It helps me to make a daily list of Top 5 Things To Do to keep me focused on achieving goals. At the end of a day a DONE LIST gives me a sense of accomplishment and encouragement because I have proof that I am indeed getting goals done.
This is particularly important if like me you are a solo-preneur, writer or creative. Great ideas need action and oxygen-thinking can make them happen.
Time to lighten up and laugh – no matter where you are today – or what you may be facing in life – a laugh will take you a long way to break-free fast. And if money is the issue honey – then laugh as you reach for a tissue – if your nose is running money that is!
He is someone new to me called Aaron Wilburn And it’s from his video “Southern Culture”.
