Money, Prosperity, Lack: It’s all about PEOPLE

by Caryl Westmore on March 18, 2010

Lacking money? Then check for lack of people prosperity! I was reminded of the link between how we attract and handle – or mishandle money -and our thoughts, beliefs and feelings connected with people in our life, past and present from  Joan Sotkin recently. Her ideas at Prosperity Place expanded my thinking as I go into my phase of workshops and talks, press interviews to launch my book You Can Break-Free Fast in South Africa this month.

While I get MIRACULOUS results with my 3-step You Can Break-Free Fast process containing the tool of EFT Tapping to source and release “what set this up”  as a block in the present – inevitably it’s the metaphors and memories from the past that hold the secret to help you get clear and break free.

So it struck a chord to read Joan’s insights as to how banks can be parent substitutes and work and business situations carbon copies of our family of origin.

She says:

“If you’re having a problem with someone at work, examine how the problem relates to conflicts you had with family members. If you have your own business, then your relationships with your customers will be a reflection of your relationships with your family of origin or other close relationships.

You’re asking them to acknowledge and support you. If your customers like what you have to offer, they’ll express their pleasure by exchanging money for your goods or services. If you had a balanced love relationship with your family, that will be reflected in a healthy business. If, on the other hand, your parents died or divorced when you were young, or if you were abused or in any way abandoned, you may have more trouble establishing a comfortable and consistent money flow in your business”.

Of course tied in with fear of rejection from others is the core issue of loving and accepting YOU. FORGIVENESS, SELF ACCEPTANCE AND LOVE OF SELF comes top of the list as you do EFT Tapping. You say it till you mean it right in the set up phrase and believe me this sets you up for success.

EFT TAPPING SUMMIT

by Caryl Westmore on February 26, 2010

EFT Tapping World Summit 2010 is delivering more than I could have dreamed. Hats off to all involved especially…Ortners. What’s wonderful is how this technique is powering global healing.

I’ve been a trainer and therapist using EFT tapping for more than eight years – and helped introduce it in South Africa – but still I am thrilled and bowled over and amazed at all that I am learning from people like Patricia Carrington on Boosting the Law of Attraction, and Rick Wilkes on healing Inner Child Trauma. These are both in line with my own work.

EFT TAPPING HEALS CHILDHOOD TRAUMA

EFT TAPPING HEALS CHILDHOOD TRAUMA

My ebook (soon to be audio): Michael Jackson: 5 Lessons to Heal or Change you Life is about the effect of inner child trauma that Wilkes pinpoints.

Empower your Younger You – shift old energies – ask permission first – picture yourself walking into the scene and you honor their boundary as to if they want help or not.
It’s wonderful to hear Rick describe this about transforming frozen energy into empowered energy in your life NOW.

Once cleared of inner pain and stuckness – NOW WHAT? What choices does this open up? Playfulness, re-parenting, compassion and comfort that was missing in the past. Allows your own body to flow and focus – radiate from your heart to the world in gratitude and appreciation.
ABUNDANCE
As for Carrington’s session – it reminds me to me to make a daily ritual of tapping in POSITIVE SNAPSHOTS from each day and tell the Universe: “I want MORE of that”.
Cool hey?
Here in Cape Town where I am currently based to launch my Break-Free Fast book in bookstores – I passionate about doing more to spread the healing word with workshops and talks. Plus I’m boosting my own journey of success and passion with EFT Tapping and the 2010 Tapping Summit interviews.

WHY THIS BOOK/TRUE STORY MADE ME CRY

by Caryl Westmore on February 17, 2010

Being a lover of books and reading all my life, I was touched and moved to tears many times while reading the story of John Wood and how he discovered his life purpose and walked away from a corporate job with Microsoft to follow his heart bringing education and books to kids worldwide.

Listening to him retell the story in the video below is powerful.

Makes you think – am I living my highest dreams and life purpose? What is my life really about – making money – or expanding love in self and others?

It began when he was an executive with Microsoft about 10 years ago. He went trekking for 10 days in Nepal, visited a school which was bare of books in the library. He promised to get books and one year later delivered 1000s of books bundled on the back of a yak.

Seeing the kids leap on the brightly colored books with delight and wonder, ignited Wood’s passion to help more schools in Nepal where the illiteracy rate is 75% – and later expand his vision globally.
SHOCKING
Shocking to know that of the estimated 850 million people who are illiterate in the world – two-thirds are women.
And inspiring to know that Wood has target giving scholarships to girls – especially in third-world countries like Bangladesh and Vietnam. He refers to the saying:”When you educate a boy you educate a boy. But when you educate a girl you educate a family and the generation to come”.

Yet it is often the girl children who end up having to give up school to work or look after their younger siblings. Unfair but also perpetuating the cycle of poverty, low self-worth and/or abuse which can result from a poor education.

Did you know that for as little as $250 a year you can support a child with a scholarship that keeps her in school? And it is wonderful to know that more than 3 million children have been touched by Room to Read’s outreach with books, libraries and/or scholarships such as this.

“Leaving Microsoft to Change the World” is not a new book – but it is highly relevant to all of us who value books – and care for our global children.

Let John Wood tell the story. I love it because it shows how he got on track with his life purpose …
